As part of the build up to the film, Bandai made a crowdfunding campaign for a remake of the 1987 DX TV Power Henshin Belt called the "DX Henshin Belt King Stone". The film will be released in 2022, which marks the 35th anniversary of Kamen Rider Black. Additionally, it is one of two film reboots announced during the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary alongside Shin Kamen Rider, which premiered the year following this. Kamen Rider Black Sun is the first film reboot since Kamen Rider The First and Kamen Rider The Next, and the first since Kamen Rider Amazons to be oriented for a mature audience.

I didn’t like the design, I didn’t like his character or personality, how he got his power ups was stupid or NEVER explained, and his final form looks lame.Like previous reboots ( Kamen Rider The First, The Next and Amazons) in the Heisei Era, Kamen Rider Black Sun along with Shin Kamen Rider is a Showa Rider reboot film in the Reiwa Era. Whose your least favorite rider: Kamen Rider Kiva I love this character, he’s fun, and his heart is constantly in the right place. While they don’t HATE Ryuki, seems a lot of people don’t like him. D:’ and him constantly getting beaten up, tho I do like his other forms, I can’t stand OOO/Eiji Whose the rider everyone loves that you can’t stand: Kamen Rider OOO It only took me a couple of episodes to really like Kagami, and while I love the ammount of passion he puts into his character while fighting, I never liked gattack’s design, it was a little meh for me. Whose your favorite main rider: Kamen Rider W I love the gimmick of this show, using your enemy’s “life force” as weapons against them? while they’re still alive? it’s just brilliant, usually the enemy is already dead when they use their abilities as weapons, but here the enemy is alive and can take their weapons back, it’s a great concept.
